Labelscape: A Mobile App for Creating and Printing Specimen Labels

Frontier Science is pleased to announce the release of Labelscape, a new Android and iOS app for creating and printing specimen labels.

Labelscape lets clinical sites and laboratories create and print labels for biological specimens, testing and sampling kits, and more. It is designed to work with readily available printing supplies, without the need for specialized laboratory label printing equipment. Below are highlights of our new mobile app:

Flexible Barcode Support: Labelscape has out-of-box support for several common barcode formats or you can create your own format to encode data that needs to be scanned.

Templates: Create sets of labels for common clinical visits, with pre-populated data fields.

Integration with LDMS: For laboratories using LDMS(R)—a laboratory information management system developed by Frontier Science Foundation—Labelscape can provide labels that can be scanned directly into LDMS.

Custom Data: New fields can be added to labels to meet your project-specific needs.

No Special Equipment: Labelscape lets you use readily available printers and label paper.

Save Paper: Use the “start at” feature to quickly start printing on a partially used sheet of labels.
