Also member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bioethics.gr\/en\">National Commission for Bioethics &amp; Technoethics<\/a> and the Expert Group on AI Incidents at <a href=\"https:\/\/oecd.ai\/en\/community\/vangelis-karkaletsis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OECD.AI.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously Member of the National Council for Research and Innovation (<a href=\"https:\/\/esetek.gov.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ESETEK<\/a>) and Head of the Software &amp; Knowledge Engineering Lab (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skel.ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SKEL The AI Lab<\/a>) at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iit.demokritos.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IIT<\/a>. Coordinator, scientific and technical manager of many European and national projects and organiser of numerous scientific international conferences, workshops and summer schools. Responsible for the Institute&#8217;s educational activities for more than 10 years, initiated the joint <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iit.demokritos.gr\/education\/joint-phd-programs-scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PhD scholarship programme<\/a> with several Universities abroad, launched the new <a href=\"http:\/\/msc-data-science.iit.demokritos.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MSc in Data Science<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/msc-ai.iit.demokritos.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MSc in Artificial Intelligence<\/a> programmes for NCSR Demokritos, and set up the <a href=\"http:\/\/schoolvisits.demokritos.gr\/\">new educational programme<\/a> for primary and secondary schools.
