{"id":2038,"date":"2024-09-25T11:39:38","date_gmt":"2024-09-25T11:39:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fsf-dev.org\/public\/?post_type=board&#038;p=2038"},"modified":"2024-09-25T11:42:32","modified_gmt":"2024-09-25T11:42:32","slug":"dr-darren-gibson-bsc-hons-phd-llm-mba","status":"publish","type":"board","link":"https:\/\/www.frontierscience.org\/public\/board\/dr-darren-gibson-bsc-hons-phd-llm-mba\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr Darren Gibson, BSc (Hons), PhD, LLM, MBA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Darren Gibson joined Frontier Science (Scotland) Ltd in January 2022 as Executive Director.&nbsp; He is a skilled executive with over 20 years of experience and substantial knowledge in the health and medical research and innovation sector, nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before joining FSS, Darren spent 3 years as the Director of Research and Innovation at the Department of Health in Western Australia (WA); facilitating, supporting, and promoting high-quality research and innovation.&nbsp; Additionally, he led the implementation of the WA Future Health Research and Innovation Fund.&nbsp; Previously, he led the collaboration, innovation and industry engagement program at Edith Cowan University.&nbsp; He also has extensive research governance experience, including managing the Scottish Mental Health Research Network and serving on multiple Boards and Committees.&nbsp; Darren has extensive medicinal chemistry experience, having been a senior research scientist within Biotechnology (UK and New Zealand) investigating novel oncology and HIV therapeutics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Darren graduated in Medicinal Chemistry, BSc (Hons), from Dundee University, and obtained a PhD in Biological Chemistry from the University of St Andrews (2001).&nbsp; He also completed an LLM in Medical Law and Ethics from De Montfort University (2011) and an MBA (2022).&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Darren Gibson joined Frontier Science (Scotland) Ltd in January 2022 as Executive Director.&nbsp; He is a skilled executive with over 20 years of experience and substantial knowledge in the health and medical research and innovation sector, nationally and internationally.
